postdoctoral position
Postdoctoral Position - Quantitative Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Medical Imaging, Sweden 2022
Eligible to be employed as a postdoctoral fellow is a person who has completed a doctoral degree, or a foreign degree that is considered comparable to a doctoral degree, in medical physics, physics, statistics, computer science, mathematics or a similar subject. This eligibility requirement must be met at the latest at the time when the employment decision is made. A very good command of written and spoken English is required. Previous experience of image processing and programming is also required. Since employment as a postdoctoral fellow constitutes a merit-based employment for junior researchers, we primarily target those who have a doctoral degree that is not older than three years from the last application date.
Postdoctoral Position - Bioinformatics, Linköping University, Sweden, Feb 2022
The applicant should have a Ph.D. degree in a relevant area, such as bioinformatics, statistics or computer science. The Ph.D. degree should normally not be obtained more than three years before the application. Previous experience with machine learning and/or artificial intelligence and genomics is meritorious. The applicant should also be experienced in programming (Python/R or equivalent languages) and used to working with big data computing solutions. Strong communicative skills and fluency in written and spoken English are a requirement.
PhD or postdoctoral position in computational mass spectrometry
Our lab combines cutting-edge experimental (e.g., LC-MS, metabolomics, RNA-seq) and computational (e.g., bioinformatics, molecular networking, machine learning) approaches to develop rapid, generally applicable workflows for the discovery and utilization of bioactive molecules derived from plants. We are looking for talented and motivated computational researchers to join our team. The successful candidate for this position will be developing the next generation of the MZmine platform for mass spectrometry data processing in metabolomics. Among other things, we are aiming to add full support for ion mobility spectroscopy (IMS) to MZmine, and to enhance its molecular networking capabilities. The IOCB is one of the leading research institutes in central Europe with a vibrant international environment and excellent equipment and core facilities located in modern buildings close to the Prague city center.
